The Opportunity:

HKA is seeking a talented quantity surveyor eager to step into the dispute resolution consultancy space. Whether you’re currently delivering commercial work for a major contractor on significant UAE/GCC live projects, or you already have early experience within a disputes-focused environment, this role offers the chance to elevate your expertise within a globally recognised consultancy in Dubai.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Analysing construction accounts, costs, values, and payments to identify issues, trends, risks, and commercial opportunities.

• Receiving structured training to undertake technical quantum analysis using recognised methodologies for use in expert reports in arbitration and adjudication.

• Drafting portions of quantum expert reports under close supervision from senior team members.

• Reviewing project documentation across a diverse range of sectors — including major infrastructure, real estate, energy, and mixed‑use developments throughout the region.

• Supporting senior Experts and project teams on high‑profile assignments.

• Preparing notes, briefing documents, and external communications aligned with project requirements.

• Participating in client meetings and contributing to discussions with stakeholders.

• Attending industry events, seminars, and client functions across Dubai and the wider region to build your network and profile.

We welcome applications from candidates with the following background:

• 3+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying or cost‑control roles, ideally with exposure to large‑scale projects in the UAE/GCC market.

• Strong experience managing the commercial administration of construction contracts, including some involvement in assessing claims and understanding quantum.

• Familiarity with key regional and international contract forms, with the ability to interpret and administer them effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports or technical correspondence.

• Strong technical skills and confidence using relevant software tools.

• The ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to non‑technical audiences.

• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset suited to a fast‑paced consultancy environment.

• Advantageous (but not essential): previous involvement with claims assessments, dispute discussions, risk management, or early-stage contract reviews.
