Consultant General Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert surgical care, performing complex procedures, and overseeing patient management from pre-operative assessment to post-operative recovery. This role demands clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnose surgical conditions
• Conduct a broad range of general surgical procedures with precision and care
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care to ensure optimal recovery
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, risks, and recovery processes
• Participate in quality assurance activities and clinical governance
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with hospital standards
• Stay current with advancements in surgical methods and technologies
  
  

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of General Surgery residency program
• Board certification in General Surgery
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant General Surgeon
• Proficient in performing diverse general surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
