Job Description

The Construction Site Coordinator 18F26 plays a pivotal role in managing construction projects by overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within the specified timelines. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The Construction Site Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of various construction personnel and subcontractors while maintaining compliance with all safety and quality standards. This role demands excellent communication skills, as the coordinator will work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that all project specifications and requirements are met. With a focus on efficiency and effective resource management, the Construction Site Coordinator must be adept at problem-solving and quick decision-making.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate schedules of subcontractors, equipment, and construction personnel effectively.
  • Monitor construction progress and address any issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work completed to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication between different teams on-site for project cohesion.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress to management periodically.
  • Manage procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to the construction site.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts between workers, subcontractors, and suppliers quickly.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and adhered to.
  • Identify potential project risks and propose proactive mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in construction site management or coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, practices, and project management software.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address and resolve on-site issues promptly.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between job sites.
