Job Description

The role of a Construction Project Manager is essential in the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This position requires an individual who can manage all aspects of construction projects, ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The Construction Project Manager will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, stakeholders, and clients to ensure efficient operations. This role demands excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies and best practices. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt to changing circumstances, troubleshoot issues proactively, and maintain high safety standards to minimize risks on site. Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to guide project activities and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to align on project goals.
  • Oversee all phases of the construction project from inception to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and within allocated limits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and construction regulations at all project sites.
  • Analyze site reports, drawings, and other documentation to monitor project progression.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them efficiently.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favorable project terms.
  • Conduct regular project site inspections to evaluate progress and quality of work.
  • Prepare regular status updates and reports for clients and higher management teams.
  • Lead project meetings to foster collaboration and ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in construction project management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members.
