Job Description

The Construction Project Manager is a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This position requires an individual who is adept at managing complex projects, coordinating diverse teams, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the construction industry, possessing deep knowledge of construction practices, and the ability to navigate the challenges associated with project timelines, cost management, and resource allocation. This role demands a proactive leader with excellent communication skills who can foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Our Construction Project Manager ensures the highest quality standards are met while satisfying all safety and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will spearhead projects from conception through to completion, often managing multiple endeavors simultaneously.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and expenditures are tracked.
  • Coordinate and schedule project activities to meet tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to plans.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and building regulations.
  • Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure best prices.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
  • Oversee the selection and use of construction materials and equipment.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment to promote project success and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in construction project management roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulatory building codes.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and construction-related applications.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is an added advantage.
