Job Description

A Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are finished on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals to plan, execute, and finalize projects. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing project risks, resolving any issues that arise, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. They must possess strong leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team effectively and foster a collaborative work environment. This position requires a strategic thinker capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and making critical decisions under pressure.


Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage project budgets, predicting costs and handling financial resources effectively.
  • Conduct risk assessment analyses and develop mitigation strategies as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders and team members.
  • Resolve any arising issues or conflicts that impact project timelines or quality.
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive rates.
  • Ensure all construction activities align with approved project plans and specifications.
  • Lead project meetings and ensure that team roles and responsibilities are clear.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction project management required.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills necessary.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with efficiency.
