Job Description
The Construction Manager - MEP is responsible for overseeing and managing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects. They are responsible for coordinating with contractors, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, and managing project timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of MEP systems.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing MEP aspects of construction projects.
- Coordinating with contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Reviewing and approving designs, plans, and specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Managing project timelines and budgets.
- Conducting regular site visits and inspections.
- Resolving construction issues and addressing concerns.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Providing accurate progress reports to management.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in MEP systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a construction manager, preferably in MEP projects.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of building codes and MEP systems.
