Job Description

The Construction Manager - MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of MEP construction projects. This role requires a professional with comprehensive experience in directing MEP systems installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Construction Manager will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to help bring visions to life while maintaining strict standards for quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of MEP systems, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The aim is to optimize the efficiency of MEP systems within projects, minimize costs, and ensure the safety and sustainability of construction practices.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive MEP construction plans.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Ensure MEP installations meet all regulatory and quality compliance standards.
  • Manage the project budget to ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Schedule MEP project tasks to ensure timely completion and quality control.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Resolve technical construction issues with contractors and design professionals.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Implement risk management strategies to address potential project challenges.
  • Review and approve MEP design drawings and installation details.
  • Lead and mentor MEP team members to enhance project delivery capabilities.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in MEP construction management or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and respective construction techniques.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools for effective project execution.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Valid professional certification in construction or project management highly preferred.
