Job Description

A Construction Manager is a vital part of any construction project, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and up to quality standards. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to make critical decisions swiftly. As a Construction Manager, you will liaise with architects, engineers, and supervisors to create a harmonious working environment and make sure all safety regulations and project requirements are met. This position demands excellent resource management skills and the ability to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the construction phase.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate and communicate with on-site supervisors to ensure quality work delivery.
  • Prepare budget estimates and monitor project costs to avoid overruns.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to interpret and implement design plans.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site swiftly and efficiently.
  • Ensure procurement of materials is timely and within budget constraints.
  • Direct and supervise construction personnel and subcontractors during project execution.
  • Manage client relationships, providing updates and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Evaluate and select subcontractors based on project requirements and budgets.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, adjustments, and completions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a construction management role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues promptly and with minimal disruption to timelines.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills with stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
