A bit about us:

Our client has an immediate opening for an experienced Conflicts Counsel to join their team in a hybrid role, preferably based in one of their West Coast offices. This is a strong career opportunity with an excellent platform at an AmLaw100 firm offering exposure to sophisticated conflicts clearance matters and professional responsibility issues in a dynamic, multi-office legal environment.

Interested candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in conflicts clearance in a large firm setting, with strong attention to detail and deep knowledge of ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and jurisdictional ethics requirements. The incoming attorney will play a key role in reviewing legal conflicts for new business, serving as the primary point of contact for outside counsel guidelines, and providing clear guidance on conflicts and engagement issues while partnering closely with attorneys and firm leadership.

Core responsibilities include reviewing conflicts for new business matters, preparing responses to client outside counsel guidelines, monitoring ABA and jurisdictional ethics rules for changes, reviewing waiver and engagement letter language, resolving potential conflicts of interest with attorneys and new business intake staff, and confirming need for ethical walls to screen individuals from particular clients and matters.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with a salary range of 140k-175k (some flexibility for more experience candidates), comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, parking/transit reimbursement, life insurance, disability benefits, and professional development opportunities in a collaborative environment that values creativity, professionalism, and expertise.
