Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Computer Operator to join our dynamic team. As a Computer Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling our computer systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting any hardware or software issues that may arise, and implementing solutions effectively. This position requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments. Responsibilities

  • Monitor computer systems and networks for performance and security issues consistently.
  • Perform routine system maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot software and hardware issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with IT team to develop and implement strategic solutions for optimization.
  • Maintain logs and records of all system operations and irregularities accurately.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new hardware and software applications.
  • Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and system updates.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff and end-users efficiently.
  • Run scheduled jobs and operations to ensure system performance and availability.
  • Monitor environmental conditions affecting IT infrastructure and implement solutions.
  • Review and update procedural documentation and guides as systems are upgraded or changed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a computer operator or similar role is required.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
