Overview Of The Role
The Communications Specialist will lead and support strategic communications and thought leadership initiatives to enhance Al-Futtaim Groups visibility, credibility, and influence. The role requires developing compelling narratives for high-impact campaigns, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and identifying key industry trends for effective messaging. This involves planning, coordinating, and delivering high-profile events such as global conferences and executive engagements, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The role combines project leadership with creativity to execute data-driven campaigns that drive measurable results.
What You Will Do
General
Develop and deliver thought leadership and strategic engagement initiatives aligned with Group priorities and key messaging pillars.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source insights, content, and spokespeople for campaigns and external engagement.
Identify relevant industry themes, trends, and opportunities to inform messaging and content development.
Support A-Futtaim Groups participation in major global conferences and forums, and curate owned events.
Manage and grow the People Advocacy initiative, providing advocates with content, guidance, and tools to amplify key narratives.
Support messaging development, briefings, and content for leadership speaking opportunities and external engagement.
Track performance, engagement, and impact of communications activity to inform continuous improvement.
Deliver thought leadership content across owned and external channels, such as articles, reports, and opinion pieces.
Create strategic communications plans aligned to People and Community, AI and Digital Transformation, Sustainability, and Business Growth & Partnerships.
Provide end-to-end support for global events and speaking engagements, including agendas, messaging, and post-event amplification.
Grow and activate the People Advocacy programme, including developing toolkits, campaigns, and tracking performance.
Enhance social and digital content opportunities to strengthen leadership visibility and brand positioning.
Build relationships with key stakeholders, including Al-Futtaim leadership, business divisions, marketing, HR, and external partners.

What Qualifies You For The Role
Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in communications, PR, or thought leadership roles, with strong international exposure.
Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
