Job Description

A Communications Specialist plays an integral role in enhancing the internal and external communication strategies of an organization. As a Communications Specialist, you will utilize various platforms, including print, digital, and social media, to engage with different audiences. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Create engaging content for press releases, newsletters, blogs, and social media.

  • Manage media relations, including writing and distributing press releases.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on communication activities.
  • Organize and manage communication projects and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Design and implement internal communication plans to promote company culture.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from media and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to inform and refine communication efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support promotional activities and campaigns.
  • Develop crisis communication plans and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Communications Specialist or similar role for two years.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with media channels and experience in managing media relations.
  • Proficiency with content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships.
