  • Ongoing, part time position - up to 64 hours per fortnight (3-4 days per week negotiable)
  • $66,768 to $73,811 (pro-rata for part time) base + salary packaging + super + 5-weeks annual leave
  • Parkville location with flexible, hybrid working


The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) is a Victorian public health service and a world-leading comprehensive cancer centre, dedicated to excellence across all spheres of clinical care, research and education. About the team

The Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association (ANZSA) is the peak body for the sarcoma community. ANZSA aims to improve outcomes for sarcoma patients through research, education and awareness of sarcomas and related tumours.


About the role

As the Communications and Project Officer for ANZSA you will be responsible for all internal and external communications which includes the following:


  • Media and newsletters
  • Orchestrating the Sarcoma Awareness Month and the Great Sarcoma Plank-a-thon campaigns
  • Maintaining and monitoring social media channels
  • Management of the ANZSA website
  • Promoting events, ensuring that all members are aware of the opportunities and updates at ANZSA.


Along with the above, you will be responsible for implementing and managing relevant programs in line with the ANZSA strategic plan.


About you

You will have a demonstrated ability to develop, manage and execute communications projects and campaigns with an ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.


Youll bring with you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related field.
  • Minimum three years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Extensive experience in writing and managing the production of communications and promotional materials for a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience of independently researching issues proposing, implementing and managing solutions.
  • Web content production skills using a CMS, basic HTML skills an advantage.
  • Knowledge of graphic design programs, Canvas, Adobe Creative Suite programs Photoshop and InDesign or similar.
  • Experience in dealing with media (desirable).
