Commis - Curry And Tandoor

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Commis – Indian Curry & Tandoor to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic Indian curry dishes and assisting in tandoor operations while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian curry and tandoor dishes as per recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients including cutting, marinating, and portioning meats, seafood, and vegetables.
• Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of any shortages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Assist senior chefs during busy service periods.
• Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.
  
  

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Indian Curry and Tandoor cuisine.
• Knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, gravies, and cooking techniques.
• Experience handling tandoor ovens and preparing naan, roti, kebabs, and tandoori items.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
