Summary
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food according to hotel recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Follow food safety, HACCP, and hygiene procedures.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
- Properly store, label, and handle ingredients and food products.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost-control practices.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly and reported if damaged.
- Work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
