Commis Chef

Location: Jeddah and Riyadh
Salary: SAR 2,000 – 2,500/month

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of food preparation, good kitchen discipline, and a willingness to learn and develop their culinary skills.

The Commis Chef will assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.

• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, sauces, and other mise en place.

• Follow recipes, preparation methods, and portioning standards.

• Assist with cooking and plating as directed by senior chefs.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.

• Properly store and handle food ingredients according to food safety standards.

• Monitor ingredient quality and report any damaged or low-stock items.

• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.

• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef, Junior Chef, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.

• Willingness to learn different cooking techniques and develop culinary skills.

• Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Physically fit and able to work long hours when required.

• Reliable, hardworking, and disciplined.

• Preferred nationalities: Nepalese, Indian, or Filipino.

• Must currently reside in Saudi Arabia.

• Valid and transferable Iqama is required.

• Candidates who can join immediately are preferred.
