Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead and develop the commercial and cost management function into a high performing team
  • Develop and embed strategic principles around the proactive management of design functions and deliverables
  • Design and implement all contract management processes, tools and products to support the JV to make informed, data driven strategic decisions
  • Support the work winning team to review and identify risks and accountabilities within tender packs and contractual terms
  • Prepare, develop and implement commercial solutions to support work winning
  • Identify and manage all commercial risk on new and existing contracts
  • Fully accountable for contract compliance and performance
  • Negotiate contract agreements and manage all non-standard contractual issues
  • Work with senior management to ensure projects exceed commercial targets
  • Oversee the development and presentation of accurate Management Information
  • Work in collaboration with the finance team to produce accurate forecasts
  • Review competencies of all personnel within the department to ensure that all personnel have suitable training, qualifications & behaviours to ensure suitability for the role.
  • Accountable for the creation and management of a high performing workforce within the discipline.
  • Familiarise and actively engage in using the Notify system and ensure direct reports are fully aware of the Notify system and use the system for Health and Safety related matters.
  • Have an in depth understanding of all information security projects, policies and procedures.
  • Oversees and ensures that direct reports receive governance training on all information security policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that any update in information security policies and procedures are communicated to direct reports.
  • Understand the procedure for effective reporting and management of security incidents and breaches


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on rail sector
  • Proven track record in successful delivery of design and build projects
  • Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary coordination and contractor management
  • Strong understanding of rail sector regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a complex project environment
  • Superior communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable
  • Willingness to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
