As Commercial Director for the MENA region of YouGov Sport, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within the sport sector to achieve ambitious growth and sales goals in 2026 and beyond. Additionally, you will be expected to foster existing client relationships via growth-driven account management.
The successful candidate will be connected in the MENA sport industry, specifically adept at selling market research and analytics tools, and be capable of aligning these products to meet the marketing objectives of sport and sport-adjacent organizations of all shapes and sizes.

- Create strategic outreach plans to connect with and acquire new business partners for YouGov Sport
- Identify potential clients and their decision makers through research and making proactive, out-bound reach-outs by phone, email, LinkedIn & networking
- Secure sales & discovery meetings with qualified prospects and deliver compelling presentations and proposals
- Synthesize data and align a potential client’s needs with YouGov products/services
- Draw on previous case studies, anecdotes and personal examples where data has been used to drive decision making in marketing & sponsorship.
- Responsible for key new business areas (specific rights-holder, brand, media owner or agency sectors) and take ownership of all relevant outreach and opportunities in this space.
- Management of key existing account relationships to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for account expansion across YouGov service offerings
These are the essentials youll need to get an interview:
- 5+ years of experience in consumer insights or market research sales, ideally specifically within the sport or sponsorship industry
- Sport media valuation, syndicated and custom consumer research knowledge
- Proven success selling subscription services in a SaaS-based environment
- Strong communicator and rapport builder, well-versed in active listening and a curiosity to find out the root behind consumer behaviours
- An established history and understanding of using Salesforce to organise daily sales activity, sales pipeline projections and analyse personal sales performance
- A passion for sports & sports business
