The Commercial Director, O&M EMEA is responsible for developing a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize total revenue and profit performance as well as market share penetration of the hotel in EMEA.
Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Own commercial strategy and execution: Develop and execute integrated commercial strategies across all market segments, channels, and revenue streams, including Rooms, Group, Conference & Events (GC&E), Food & Beverage (F&B), Leisure, Spa, and Meeting Space, to maximize revenue, profitability, market share, and overall hotel performance.
- Drive top-line performance: Take direct accountability for achieving budgeted revenue and forecast targets through the implementation of the Hilton Commercial Focus process, business planning, and effective use of commercial intelligence, systems, and tools.
- Maximize revenue and profitability: Partner with the General Manager, Finance Director, and Director of Operations to optimize commercial performance, manage cost of sales, improve route-to-market strategies, drive channel shift opportunities, and deliver TGOP and EBITDA targets.
- Lead pricing and forecasting strategy: Oversee revenue management practices including pricing governance, rate quotation strategies, business reviews, demand forecasting, market segmentation, inventory management, and retail and group pricing decisions to maximize revenue opportunities and market share.
- Optimize revenue management performance: Support Cluster Revenue Managers, On-Property Revenue Managers, and RMCC teams in establishing the optimal business mix, validating forecasts, identifying demand opportunities, and implementing effective pricing strategies for varying demand periods.
- Align sales, marketing, and commercial efforts: Coordinate Sales, Catering & Events, Marketing, eCommerce, and Public Relations activities across hotel and regional teams to strengthen brand positioning, generate demand, and support commercial objectives.
- Leverage commercial intelligence and systems: Ensure all commercial management systems, reporting tools, and revenue optimization platforms are fully utilized to maximize performance across all available revenue-generating spaces and channels.
- Drive market share growth: Deliver strong Fair Market Share (FMS) results and competitive advantage through disciplined execution of commercial strategies and performance-driven decision-making.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships: Develop and maintain trusted relationships with hotel owners, operators, General Managers, Hilton corporate and regional teams, strategic partners, and key stakeholders to align objectives and create long-term commercial value.
- Represent the business strategically: Act as a commercial ambassador by presenting business performance, market insights, and commercial strategies to Regional Teams, Vice Presidents of Operations, owners, and other senior stakeholders.
- Champion brand excellence: Ensure full compliance with Hilton brand standards, corporate identity guidelines, commercial policies, and communication frameworks while maximizing the value of regional marketing and brand support resources.
- Adapt to market dynamics: Monitor market trends, customer behavior, economic conditions, and competitor activity, proactively adjusting commercial strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate business risks.
- Cultivate a high-performing team: Lead, coach, recruit, develop, evaluate, and retain commercial talent through performance management, succession planning, professional development, and recognition programs while ensuring achievement of agreed KPIs.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration: Work effectively within Hilton’s matrix and 4D organizational structure, partnering with hotel, regional, and corporate teams to drive commercial success and operational excellence.
- Participate in strategic leadership: Contribute actively to hotel and regional leadership activities, business reviews, strategic planning processes, and commercial initiatives that support sustainable business growth.

The Following Capabilities And Qualifications Would Be Advantageous
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the hospitality or travel industry within revenue-generating, commercial, sales, revenue management, or related commercial services functions, including presenting commercial strategies and business plans to senior executives and stakeholders, operating effectively within cross-functional and matrixed organizations, analyzing financial and commercial performance data to support strategic decision-making, identifying and capitalizing on business growth opportunities, and leading, developing, and managing commercial or sales teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in revenue management, sales, pricing strategies, forecasting, and business performance optimization.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and ownership groups.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience operating within a multi-property, cluster, or complex hotel and hospitality environment.
- Cross-functional experience with Marketing, eCommerce, Revenue Management, Sales, and Finance disciplines.
- Knowledge of Hilton commercial systems, distribution channels, and hospitality industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing commercial intelligence, business analytics, and performance reporting tools to support decision-making.
- Additional language proficiency, particularly local language skills, would be considered a strong asset.
