Job Description

The CNC Operator position plays a crucial role in manufacturing and production processes by setting up and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The CNC Operator will be responsible for programming, testing, and continuously optimizing CNC equipment to achieve efficient operation and high-quality outputs. You will work closely with engineers and production team members to meet production targets and ensure that products meet precise specifications. A successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong mechanical aptitude, enabling them to adjust and troubleshoot machines, ensuring minimal downtime.


Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to production specifications and instructions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to perform precision machining.
  • Ensure machines are calibrated and well-maintained to adhere to safety standards.
  • Adjust machine settings to eliminate production errors and improve output accuracy.
  • Monitor the production process and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
  • Perform regular quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize programming and workflow.
  • Document machinery activities, maintenance, and production reports accurately and timely.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and industry safety protocols and procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior operators to improve overall team performance and skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines required.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and machine calibration procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic production team.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
