A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and instruments. This role involves understanding the technical drawings and blueprints to optimize the production process. The CNC Operator must ensure that products meet the specified quality and technical standards while maintaining high efficiency and productivity. This position is crucial in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and healthcare, where precision is key to creating components that conform to engineering specifications. The candidate will work closely with engineers and quality control specialists to enhance and refine manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine necessary machine operations.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines to meet production specifications.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed to maintain precision and quality.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality control standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Document production processes, including any issues encountered and resolutions implemented.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve production processes and tooling designs.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow all company policies and protocols related to safety and product quality.
• Train and support new CNC operators in machine operation and safety procedures.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished parts to ensure continuous production.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production goals and challenges.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine and production issues.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
