The CNC Maintenance Technician is a critical player in ensuring the seamless operation of our computer numerical control (CNC) machinery. This role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing complex equipment used in precision manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate possesses a thorough understanding of CNC machinery, electrical and mechanical systems, and has the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues expediently. Working closely with production teams, the CNC Maintenance Technician ensures that all machinery is calibrated correctly and operates efficiently to optimize production output. This role is crucial in minimizing downtime and in maintaining the highest standards of machine performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on CNC machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and initiate appropriate repair actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure machinery is operating optimally.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records for all equipment serviced.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all repair activities.
• Utilize technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery issues.
• Order and replace parts and manage inventory levels for maintenance supplies.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new CNC machines and equipment.
• Provide training and support to other maintenance team members as needed.
• Implement strategies to enhance machine reliability and reduce operational costs.
• Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in CNC machinery and maintenance practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost equipment performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred for this role.
• A minimum of three years of experience in CNC machine maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in CNC machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and vendors.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if necessary.
