InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and guest-focused Cluster Sales Manager – Leisure, reporting directly to the Cluster Commercial Director, to lead and grow our leisure segment across the cluster, including active involvement in operational execution and pre-opening phases. You will play a pivotal role in driving room revenue, developing key leisure partnerships, and supporting the successful launch and ongoing performance of current and future properties.
Located in the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, just moments from iconic landmarks such as Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay features 176 elegantly designed apartments, offering refined luxury, comfort, and sophistication. As Cluster Sales Manager – Leisure, your strategic mindset, market knowledge, and hands-on operational approach will directly contribute to our commercial success and brand reputation.
Your Day-to-Day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Develop and implement effective leisure sales strategies to maximize room revenue across the cluster.
- Identify and target new leisure markets, tour operators, travel agents, wholesalers, and online partners.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to optimize sales performance.
- Prepare and manage annual sales plans, budgets, and forecasts for the leisure segment.
Account Management & Business Development
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key leisure accounts, ensuring strong relationships and long-term partnerships.
- Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and presentations to promote the cluster’s products and services.
- Negotiate and manage leisure contracts, rates, and allotments in line with revenue strategies.
- Participate in international and regional sales trips, trade shows, and roadshows as required.
Operational Excellence & Commercial Execution
- Work closely with Operations, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Reservations to ensure smooth handling of leisure business.
- Support the daily management of group and leisure arrivals to ensure service delivery meets brand standards.
- Monitor pickup, cut-off dates, release periods, and special requests to avoid operational challenges.
- Actively participate in daily revenue meetings, forecast reviews, and business review meetings.
- Ensure seamless coordination between Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations for peak periods and special events.
Pre-Opening & New Property Support
- Support pre-opening activities for new cluster properties, including market positioning, rate strategy, and account acquisition.
- Assist in developing pre-opening sales plans, segmentation strategies, and opening budgets.
- Build a strong leisure account base prior to opening to ensure early market penetration and stable ramp-up.
- Participate in pre-opening training, system set-up, brand compliance, and opening sales campaigns.
- Represent the cluster in pre-opening roadshows, launch events, and trade or launch functions.
Revenue, Reporting & Performance
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production from leisure accounts and take corrective action when needed.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, business reviews, and performance updates to the Cluster Commercial Director.
- Work closely with Revenue Management to ensure optimal pricing, distribution, and inventory control.
- Ensure all sales activities are accurately recorded in the CRM system.
Collaboration & Brand Representation
- Work closely with Marketing, Revenue, Reservations, and Operations to ensure seamless execution of leisure business.
- Represent the InterContinental brand professionally in all external interactions.
- Support cluster-wide initiatives and cross-selling opportunities between properties.
- Participate in commercial strategy meetings and leadership reviews as required.
What We Need From You
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in leisure sales within a luxury hotel or international hotel brand.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the leisure segment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting hotel pre-openings or new market entries is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of leisure markets, tour operators, wholesalers, and distribution channels.
- Experience working in a cluster or multi-property environment is an advantage.
