GSK is looking to hire a Clinical Study Associate, Student Intern to join our collaborative Research & Development team. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 2–3 days per week, and reports to the Associate Director of Local Delivery Leads. The ideal candidate will be based in or near our Mississauga office.

As a Clinical Study Associate, Student Intern, you will be assisting Clinical Operations staff with the implementation and execution of clinical studies conducted in Canada across different therapy areas. You will help unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together.


  • This is a paid student internship running from May 2026 to May 2027, intended for students who are actively enrolled in a post-secondary institution. Internal referrals are welcome. ***


Details (Your Responsibilities)

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:


  • Complete various study related tasks for studies across oncology, vaccines and/or specialty care therapy areas
  • Be involved in conducting site feasibility, including researching competitive landscape and collating feasibility results for new clinical trials in Canada
  • Liaise with investigative sites in the collection and processing of study related regulatory documentation
  • Assist with Canadianizing Informed Consent Forms for clinical studies
  • Assist with the review of various study specific documents
  • Assist with creating study newsletters, patient walk-throughs, and recruitment materials as required
  • Assist with preparation of study budgets
  • Assist with file reviews to ensure study documents are in audit ready state
  • Support the collection and conduct of management monitoring checks for various processes
  • Organize and coordinate operational therapy area team meetings
  • Assist with the conduct of on-site visits to ensure understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance, where applicable
  • Be involved in site and study management including ensuring completion and delivery of all local activities required to ensure high quality set up, execution and completion of studies to agreed timelines and budget
  • Actively participate in various projects to support departmental activities

  • Highly developed planning and organizational skills, with the ability to execute efficiently in a dynamic environment
  • Strong research, analytical, and time-management skills, with advanced proficiency in PC-based tools and applications
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, databases, and technologies
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify issues early and develop practical, innovative solutions


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:


  • Advanced scientific training in the basic sciences (Biology, Pharmacology, etc.) at the post graduate level (e.g. MSc)
  • Specific training in clinical research
  • Bilingualism (English / French)


In compliance with Ontarios provincial pay transparency legislation in Canada, this job posting includes a salary range to support equitable and informed hiring practices. The annual pay rate for new hires in this position ranges from CAD$31,980 to CAD$79,950 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the Canadian market, education level (e.g., Undergrad / Masters / MBA etc.) and based on the experience required for the role.
