Job Description

The Clinic Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a healthcare facility, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently while delivering the highest standards of patient care. The manager serves as the point of contact between the clinic and external organizations, including healthcare partners, government agencies, and the community. This role involves supervising the clinic’s staff, managing budgets, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of healthcare knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills. They will be tasked with maintaining patient satisfaction and clinic profitability while fostering a productive work environment for staff. The Clinic Manager must stay informed about changes in the healthcare industry and adapt the clinic’s strategies to meet evolving needs.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the clinic to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage and supervise clinic staff, including hiring, performance appraisals, and training.
  • Maintain accurate records of clinic operations and report to senior management.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to improve the quality of patient care services.
  • Monitor clinic finances and manage budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Liaise with government agencies for licensing and permits of clinic operations.
  • Assess and implement strategies to improve patient experience and clinic operations.
  • Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and external partners.
  • Evaluate clinic services to align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate procurement and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance in clinical settings.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills, particularly in managing budgets.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare management software and office applications.
