Civil Engineer (225-919)

As a Civil Engineer, you will be a key player in the planning, design, and oversight of construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to ensure the successful execution of projects ranging from roads, bridges, tunnels, and buildings to more complex infrastructure systems. Your role will involve analyzing data, preparing reports, maps, and specifications as well as managing project budgets and resources efficiently. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong technical abilities, and the capacity to lead teams and oversee project execution while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee construction and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Design infrastructure systems, including roads, bridges, and buildings using CAD software.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data for planning purposes.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports and documentation to stakeholders.
• Ensure that all projects meet legal guidelines, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project budgets, allocate resources, and oversee procurement processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and consider variations in design plans to minimize project risks.
• Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
• Monitor project progress, handle onsite issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Supervise construction teams and provide hands-on guidance when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed on project progress and updates.
• Continually update knowledge of construction and engineering methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in civil engineering roles with project management exposure.
• Strong proficiency with civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, safety codes, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address engineering challenges.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain this certification.
