We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Draftsman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of both civil engineering drafting techniques and CAD software, with a keen eye for detail. As a Civil Draftsman, you will work closely with architects and engineers to translate their designs into accurate working drawings and plans. Your work will be fundamental in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. By taking on this critical role, you will contribute to the successful completion of a variety of infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed architectural and structural drawings using CAD software according to project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy of designs and drawings.
• Update existing drawings to reflect changes or modifications made during project development.
• Assist in calculating measurements and material quantities for various construction projects.
• Maintain an organized archive of both physical and digital drawings and project documents.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and municipal regulations in all drafting work.
• Contribute to the optimization of drafting processes and procedures for efficiency improvements.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior draftsmen and interns as needed.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of drafts for review and project approvals.
• Communicate effectively with project management regarding drafting updates and potential issues.
• Adapt to new drafting technologies and techniques to enhance productivity and quality.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field required.
• Proven experience of at least two years in civil drafting or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit is essential.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise work.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently under pressure.
• Knowledge of industry standards and local building codes for civil engineering.
• Willingness to keep current with emerging drafting trends and technologies.
