Job Purpose
The Chief Executive Content Review is responsible for conducting advanced content reviews and supporting classification decisions across regulated content formats, including books, publications, films, documentaries, TV programs, OTT/streaming content, radio/audio content, podcasts, video games, digital platform content, social media content, AI-generated content, synthetic media, and emerging formats. The role serves as the senior ‑ most technical reviewer within the Content Review function, ensuring high ‑ risk and precedent ‑ setting cases are assessed with advanced regulatory judgment . The role holder is expected to demonstrate strong teamwork skills and carry out his/her duties in accordance with the relevant business policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities
- Implement the operational requirements for Content Review, in line with the overall Content Review strategy, vision and goals.
- Work collaboratively with the Content Review team, to ensure smooth and on-time delivery of services related to the review of content across different mediums, channels and platforms.
Provide metrics and supporting documents to the Head of Content Review, to support with the monthly KPI reports
Advanced Content Classification & Escalation Handling
- Review complex, sensitive, high-risk, or escalated content submissions across books, publications, films, documentaries, TV, OTT/streaming, audio, podcasts, games, digital platforms, and emerging formats to ensure classification decisions comply with regulatory requirements and approved review frameworks.
- Assess content against approved classification standards, maintaining accuracy and consistency in the application of ratings and descriptors.
- Provide recommendations on borderline or unusual content matters, supporting appropriate escalation and regulatory treatment where necessary.
- Support the interpretation of classification guidelines to promote consistency across content review activities.
- Document classification decisions and supporting rationale, ensuring decisions remain transparent, defensible, and well-supported.
- Apply format-specific review considerations for written, audiovisual, audio, interactive, and digital content so that classification decisions reflect the medium, audience risk, and regulatory context.
Provide advisory input to the Head of Content Review on cases requiring regulatory interpretation or policy ‑ level decisions.
AI and Emerging Content Assessment
- Review AI-generated, synthetic, interactive, and emerging content formats to ensure evolving media formats are assessed appropriately.
- Identify deepfakes, synthetic voices, manipulated content, and other emerging risks, supporting informed regulatory decision-making.
- Escalate novel or unclear content matters where additional policy guidance or specialist review may be required.
- Support testing and adoption of AI-assisted review tools to improve operational efficiency and review effectiveness.
Contribute insights on emerging content trends, helping review frameworks evolve alongside industry developments.
Quality Assurance, Documentation & System Integrity
- Review classification decisions completed by Executive Content Review staff to maintain consistency and quality standards across the team.
- Conduct peer reviews and quality checks to identify errors, inconsistencies, and training requirements.
- Support internal audits and quality assurance exercises, ensuring regulatory decisions remain defensible and auditable.
- Identify recurring classification issues to support continuous improvement initiatives and reviewer development.
Assist with the development of reviewer guidance materials, reference examples, and supporting documentation.
Workflow Coordination and Operational Support
- Monitor content review workloads and submission volumes to facilitate achievement of review targets and service levels.
- Support the allocation of work across reviewers, maintaining operational efficiency and balanced workloads.
- Escalate workflow bottlenecks, resource constraints, and emerging operational risks, enabling timely corrective action.
- Assist the Head of Content Review in tracking operational performance metrics and reporting activities.
Support implementation of process improvements and workflow enhancements aimed at improving review effectiveness.
Reviewer Guidance and Stakeholder Support
- Provide technical guidance to Executive Content Review, promoting consistent application of classification standards.
- Support onboarding and training of new reviewers, accelerating capability development and operational readiness.
- Respond to technical questions relating to classification requirements, helping reviewers make informed and consistent decisions.
- Support communications with content submitters where clarification is required to facilitate accurate content assessments.
Promote a culture of professionalism, consistency, and continuous learning within the Content Review team.

- Serve as senior technical reference for Executive Content Review colleagues.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Archives, Legal Oversight, and Policy Development teams on cross-cutting cases. External:
- Liaise with content creators, broadcasters, publishers, and production companies on escalated submissions as directed by the Head of Content Review.
- Engage with international classification bodies for benchmarking when supporting framework refinements.

Qualifications
Experience Required
Functional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in content review, editorial compliance, media regulation, classification, or related fields.
- Experience handling complex or sensitive content review matters.
Leadership/Supervisory
Education and Qualification Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Journalism, Law, or related field
- Certification in content classification, digital governance, or editorial compliance preferred

- Content Review Coverage: Percentage growth in the number of pieces of content reviewed annually to ensure compliance with local and federal media laws.
- AI/Synthetic Media Reviews: Percentage increase (from previous year) in AI-generated or synthetic content reviewed using approved frameworks.
- Review Turnaround Performance: Percentage of content reviews completed within established service levels.
- Successful Enforcements Against Content Compliance: Percentage of successful enforcement actions completed against content non-compliance out of the total number of non-compliance cases.
- Non-compliant Content Resolution Rate: Percentage of cases of non-compliant content resolved successfully out of total number of cases identified.
Compliance Violation Resolution Time: Average time taken to address and resolve violations of content non-compliance.
