Chief Commercial Officer Logistics Freight Forwarding

Black & Grey HR is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for a leading logistics & freight forwarding company, to lead the overall commercial strategy and revenue growth across the UAE and regional markets. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will oversee sales, business development, pricing, partnerships, and profitability across all business units. The ideal candidate will have 15–20+ years of logistics and freight forwarding experience, with strong GCC market expertise across Air, Ocean, Road Freight, Contract Logistics, Supply Chain, and Warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the company’s overall commercial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across all service verticals.
• Identify new market opportunities, trade lanes, and strategic partnerships.
• Lead long-term business planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.
  
  

• Own and achieve annual revenue and gross margin targets.
• Oversee sales, business development, key account management, and commercial operations.
• Expand market share across Air, Ocean, Road Freight, and Contract Logistics.
• Lead large-scale contract negotiations with enterprise and multinational clients.
• Develop pricing frameworks and commercial policies to maximize profitability.
  
  

• Lead and mentor commercial directors and senior managers across divisions.
• Build high-performance sales and commercial teams.
• Establish KPIs, performance metrics, and incentive structures.
• Foster a results-driven, customer-focused culture across the organization.
  
  

• Leverage strong GCC market knowledge and industry network.
• Maintain relationships with major shippers, MNCs, carriers, agents, and strategic partners.
• Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory updates, and competitive landscape shifts.
  
  

• Collaborate closely with operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure service excellence and profitability.
• Ensure commercial commitments are aligned with operational capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  
  

• 15–20+ years of experience in Logistics & Freight Forwarding.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management; MBA is a plus.
• Proven track record in senior commercial leadership roles, ideally within integrated logistics, NVOCC, or multi modal freight environments.
• Deep expertise in Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, Warehousing & Distribution, and value-added logistics services.
• Demonstrated track record of managing multi-million-dollar revenue portfolios.
• Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Extensive industry network within UAE and GCC.
