IIQAF Group is looking for a passionate, skilled, and experienced Chef / Cook to join our hospitality team in Dubai. The successful candidate will prepare high-quality meals, maintain exceptional food presentation, ensure food safety compliance, manage kitchen operations, and deliver an outstanding dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate has expertise in food preparation, menu execution, kitchen hygiene, inventory management, and teamwork within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience as a Chef, Cook, Commis Chef, Line Cook, Kitchen Chef, Sous Chef, Restaurant Cook, Hotel Cook, Catering Cook, or Kitchen Team Member.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portion control, and presentation.
Assist in planning menus and developing seasonal and specialty dishes.
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, measuring, and organizing food items.
Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
Follow food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory control and ordering supplies.
Minimize food waste through proper storage, stock rotation, and portion management.
Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before use.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues when necessary.
Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies.
Support catering services, banquets, buffet operations, and special hospitality events when required.
Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, Commis Chef, Line Cook, Demi Chef de Partie, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Hotel Cook, Restaurant Cook, Catering Cook, or Kitchen Assistant is preferred.
Experience in hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering companies, cafés, or hospitality establishments is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of international cuisine, food preparation techniques, and culinary standards.
Thorough understanding of HACCP, food safety regulations, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
