Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Value Engineering Facilitator (CVS), certified by SAVE International, to support the delivery of structured Value Engineering facilitation on large‑scale and complex construction projects. The role focuses on facilitating formal VE processes and workshops in support of the design and cost management disciplines.



Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate formal Value Engineering workshops in accordance with SAVE International Value Methodology and agreed project procedures.
  • Experience across one or more of the following sectors: Sports facilities and stadiums, hospitality developments, large urban and mixed‑use developments, healthcare, and education projects.
  • Plan, structure, and lead VE studies across defined phases, including information gathering, function analysis, option generation, evaluation, and recommendation development.
  • Support the design and cost management teams by enabling structured, multidisciplinary collaboration and objective evaluation of design options.
  • Facilitate discussions focused on function, performance, value, and risk, without assuming responsibility for cost plans, estimates, or budget ownership.
  • Work closely with the Lead Design Consultant and Cost Management team to ensure VE outcomes are practical, buildable, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Document VE findings, recommendations, and agreed actions in formal VE reports suitable for client and authority review.
  • Support VE exercises at agreed stages of the design process (e.g. early optioneering, Stage 2/3 design development, or defined gateway reviews).
  • Ensure VE activities are carried out in line with client governance requirements and recognised industry best practice.
  • Contribute to constructive challenge within the design process while maintaining independence and objectivity.
