As a CCTV Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and surveillance systems operate flawlessly within our organization. Your expertise will be central to installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing CCTV systems, ensuring they provide optimal performance and meet the security standards required. You will engage with both software and hardware components, addressing any technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability. Additionally, you will work closely with the security team to design and enhance surveillance strategies. Your role is crucial not only in safeguarding assets but also in collaborating with cross-departmental teams to deliver a secure environment for all employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up CCTV systems to meet company security requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all CCTV equipment to ensure functionality.
• Diagnose and repair hardware faults or replace equipment as necessary.
• Monitor video feed performance and troubleshoot any operational issues promptly.
• Collaborate with security personnel to optimize surveillance coverage and efficiency.
• Train users on correct procedures and protocols related to CCTV systems.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including configurations and service records.
• Assist in designing new installations or upgrades to existing CCTV systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations in CCTV operations.
• Respond to emergency call-outs timely to resolve immediate security concerns.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement and equipment supply needs.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies or upgrades to existing systems for enhanced performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Familiarity with networking principles pertinent to CCTV and security systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Technical certification in electronics, IT, or a related field is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to different sites.
