Job Description

A CCTV Technician plays a vital role in the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems. As part of a larger security team, the technician ensures that surveillance systems are functioning optimally to enhance security and safety. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with security personnel to integrate CCTV systems with other security measures.
  • Conduct regular checks and upgrades on equipment to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Document and report on technical issues, maintenance, and service activities.
  • Assist in drafting security plans and layouts for new surveillance installations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and team members on system usage.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in CCTV technology and security trends.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during installations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and order necessary components and system parts.
  • Work flexible hours to ensure surveillance systems are active 24/7.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of CCTV systems, configurations, and trouble-shooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in using various CCTV installation tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Willingness to stay informed about new technologies and security industry standards.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for fieldwork and service calls.
