CCTV Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

• Install, configure, and commission CCTV surveillance systems (IP & Analog).
• Install and configure NVRs, DVRs, IP cameras, PoE switches, and storage devices.
• Perform structured cabling, fiber optic termination, and network connectivity.
• Install and integrate access control, video intercom, intrusion alarm, and gate barrier systems.
• Configure remote monitoring and mobile viewing applications.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and customer handover.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of security systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and communication faults.
• Replace defective equipment and ensure minimum system downtime.
• Prepare maintenance reports and service documentation.

SIRA Operations

• Ensure all installations comply with SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Agency) regulations and technical standards.
• Prepare and submit SIRA documentation, drawings, and project details through the SIRA portal.
• Coordinate with SIRA inspectors during site inspections and rectification visits.
• Attend to SIRA observations and complete corrective actions within the specified timeline.
• Maintain project records including approvals, certificates, as-built drawings, and inspection reports.
• Ensure technicians possess valid SIRA certifications and follow approved installation practices.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and authorities for SIRA approvals and project closures.

Network & System Configuration

• Configure IP addressing, VLANs, switches, routers, and network devices.
• Configure video management software (VMS), recording schedules, user permissions, and backups.
• Integrate CCTV systems with third-party security platforms where required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare installation reports, commissioning reports, maintenance reports, and service records.
• Update asset registers and maintenance logs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for warranty, AMC, and project completion.
