Job Description

The Catering Supervisor is a pivotal role within our hospitality team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering operations to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for the culinary arts. The Catering Supervisor will coordinate with chefs, servers, and other staff members to plan and execute a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to large corporate functions. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. This role also involves managing budgets, maintaining inventory, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are strictly followed.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation and presentation of catering services.
  • Supervise a team of catering staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to develop and execute menus.
  • Monitor the quality of food and beverage services provided to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular training and development programs for catering staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • Manage catering budget and control costs effectively without sacrificing quality.
  • Order and maintain an adequate inventory of catering supplies and equipment.
  • Evaluate and improve service delivery processes continuously for better efficiency.
  • Resolve any customer service issues or complaints promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory catering role.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a dynamic team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills under time constraints.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and industry trends.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
