Job Description

As a Catering Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality catering services, ensuring that all events are executed seamlessly and to the highest standards. Your primary aim will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the catering team, maintaining productivity, coordination, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for planning menus, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. It will be your duty to cultivate a motivated team environment, providing leadership and support to staff members to achieve exceptional service delivery. Your role will also involve direct interaction with clients, ensuring their needs are comprehensively met and expectations consistently exceeded.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the catering team to deliver exceptional service at all events.
  • Plan and execute catering menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all food preparation and serving activities.
  • Manage and oversee budgeting, ordering, and inventory for catering events.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their event needs and customize services accordingly.
  • Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within catering areas.
  • Supervise the setup, serving, and breakdown of catering events to ensure efficiency.
  • Train and mentor catering staff to improve performance and service quality.
  • Monitor customer feedback and make improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality of food and timeliness of delivery.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for catering services.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during catering operations promptly and effectively.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in catering management or similar hospitality leadership role.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse clientele.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and reducing operational costs.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high-performance levels.
  • Certification in food safety and handling regulations is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve customer service issues effectively.
