Job Description

As a Catering Sales Specialist, your primary responsibility is to drive sales and establish lasting relationships with clients looking to plan catered events. You will play a crucial role in understanding clients' needs and delivering tailored catering solutions that meet their expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to negotiate and close sales deals. You will work closely with both the culinary team and the event management team to ensure flawless execution of events, ensuring a seamless and satisfying client experience. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Generate and pursue leads to convert them into successful catering events.
  • Coordinate with culinary and event teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets set by management consistently each quarter.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and event orders for clients.
  • Conduct site visits and tastings to assist clients' decision-making process.
  • Stay updated on current food and beverage trends and client preferences.
  • Negotiate terms, agreements, and pricing with clients to close sales.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and address client concerns promptly.
  • Assist in marketing and promotional activities to increase client acquisition.
  • Manage and update client databases and track sales progress effectively.
  • Regularly report sales activities and pipeline status to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in catering or hospitality industries.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a client-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets regularly.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
