As a Catering Operations Officer in the Catering Team, you will maintain and manage catering operations to the highest Emirates standards. You will manage Emirates products and services effectively and efficiently across operations, ensuring that all service providers comply with Emirates standard operating procedures and guidelines. You will play a key role in supporting operational excellence, inventory management, catering compliance, and service delivery to enhance the overall customer experience.
In This Role You Will
Plan and conduct checks to ensure base and overseas caterers are adhering to the Emirates galley plans. As well as ensuring equipment is loaded to the standards and any deviation to the standards is recorded and tracked for performance.
Manage and ensure all stocks entrusted to the service providers are handled appropriately. Review and approve requisitions based on the operating plan and flight requirements and ensure the SOP for stock management is always adhered to.
Initiate stock counts at agreed intervals, conducting physical verification and verify consumption entries before Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) update and conduct analysis of data entered following which systems are to be released for transactions.
Record all transactions for issues, transfers, and returns in a timely manner and conducting verification process and maintain records for audit trail.
Investigate meal count variances with all relevant stakeholders and take necessary action to ensure the counts in the system are correct to avoid any financial reconciliation issues at the end of the month.
Ensure products sourced for Emirates are used within the shelf life and a minimum write-off is set in place and ensure Emirates products are recycled and handled appropriately to minimise wastage.
Discuss crew feedback on products or services to assign this with caterers or service providers for corrective action. Allocate reports applicable to service providers for corrective action and measure as per agree Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Conduct checks on any new introduction or implementation of new products and services.
Plan, prepare and publish all operational reports required to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of service providers.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
Hold a Degree or Honours qualification (12+3 or equivalent).
Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience within inflight services, inflight catering.
Have experience providing operational business support within inventory control, logistics, or distribution environments.
Possess extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
