Cashier

We are looking for a responsible, friendly, and detail-oriented Cashier to handle customer transactions and support smooth daily operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payments, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate cash records, and providing professional customer service. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling cash, have basic numerical skills, and be able to work accurately in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  
• Process cash, card, and other approved payment methods accurately.
  
• Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations.
  
• Operate the POS system and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
  
• Verify product prices, quantities, discounts, and payment amounts.
  
• Count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  
• Maintain accurate cash balances and transaction records.
  
• Process returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company procedures.
  
• Answer basic customer questions and provide assistance when required.
  
• Report cash shortages, excess amounts, or transaction discrepancies to the supervisor.
  
• Maintain daily sales and payment records.
  
• Assist with preparing end-of-day cash and transaction reports.
  
• Coordinate with sales, accounts, and customer service teams when necessary.
  
• Handle customer and company information confidentially.
  
• Keep the cashier counter clean, organized, and presentable.
  
• Follow company cash-handling, security, and fraud-prevention procedures.
  
• Support stock checking, product arrangement, or other store duties when required.
  
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is an advantage.
  
• Previous experience as a Cashier, Sales Assistant, Retail Associate, or similar role is preferred.
  
• Basic mathematical and calculation skills.
  
• Experience handling cash and card transactions is an advantage.
  
• Familiarity with POS systems is preferred.
  
• Basic computer knowledge.
  
• Good English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Honest, responsible, and trustworthy.
  
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to remain professional during busy periods.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• UAE experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
