The Accounts Receivable Assistant/ Cashier is responsible for handling day-to-day tasks, including managing Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, cash deposits, and cheque processing. The role ensures that all duties are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with Al Ain Food & Beverages’ standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies.

DSR Settlement Responsibilities
Proof of Delivery (POD) Verification: Review and validate all posted sales transactions. Ensure that all PODs are received; escalate any discrepancies to the concerned department in line with SOP guidelines.
Sales Return Processing: Accurately post refusals and Goods Return Vouchers (GRVs) in the system.
Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile daily cash deposits with system records. Report any variances to the concerned department as per SOP. Submit the daily cash reconciliation report to the AR Accountant.
System Entry: Cash Settlement: Post all cash settlement entries into the system, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Receipt Voucher Book Management: Issue RV books to the sales team and maintain a proper issuance log.
Accounts Receivable Management
Cheque Handling: Collect customer cheques, ensure timely bank deposits, and post the related entries in the system accurately.
Documents Archiving & E-Archiving
POD & RV Scanning: Manage scanning, uploading, and e-archiving of all Proof of Delivery (POD) and Receipt Voucher (RV) documents.
Physical Document Handling: Ensure physical PODs are forwarded to the Revenue Team and RVs are safely archived for future reference.
Team Collaboration & Support
Revenue Support: Assist the Revenue Team with invoice posting and customer submissions, if requested.
AR Support: Provide support to the AR Team with RV applications, as needed.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Maintain daily coordination with the Sales, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth and accurate task completion.
What Would Make You Successful?
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum Experience
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in FMCG Companies.
Functional Knowledge
Basic understanding of trade finance and accounting
Basic excel skills
Job-Specific Skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Prior UAE market experience is preferred.
Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
