Job Description

As a Cashier cum Receptionist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers and visitors while ensuring smooth cashiering operations. You will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing transactions, managing phone calls, and providing exceptional customer service. This dual role requires you to balance responsibilities efficiently, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. As the face of the company, your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a welcoming and professional environment for both staff and customers is critical. Your multitasking skills will be essential as you handle front desk duties and manage financial transactions with precision.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers and visitors promptly and courteously.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and securely.
  • Ensure the accuracy of daily cash register transactions and settlements.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages when needed.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and welcoming front desk area at all times.
  • Provide information and assistance regarding product inquiries and services.
  • Balance the cash drawer and ensure it is always adequately funded.
  • Coordinate with management to address customer complaints and issues.
  • Manage the scheduling and appointments for visitors and clients.
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed by management and staff.
  • Ensure proper handling and filing of receipts, invoices, and related documents.
  • Implement procedures for the prevention of fraud and error in transactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in retail or hospitality.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good mathematical and problem-solving skills for handling transactions.
  • Proficiency with office equipment and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse customers.
