Job Description

As a Cashier cum Receptionist, you will serve a dual role, providing indispensable support both at the front desk and in managing financial transactions. This multifaceted position demands a personable and proactive individual who excels in customer relations and possesses strong numerical acumen. On the reception side, you will be the first point of contact for customers, offering a welcoming environment and efficiently managing phone inquiries and appointments. Concurrently, your cashier duties will involve handling cash transactions, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a friendly disposition, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure seamless operations across both areas of responsibility.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner upon arrival.
  • Manage the telephone switchboard, answer calls, and forward messages promptly.
  • Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Keep track of all financial transactions and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Assist guests with their queries and provide solutions based on company policies.
  • Maintain reception area by organizing magazines, setting appointments, and tidying up space.
  • Verify and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers as required.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and reservations as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth office operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and sort incoming mail, deliveries, and courier services for the office.
  • Provide administrative support to management and staff including data entry and documentation.
  • Monitor and replenish inventory of office supplies and materials in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required for this position.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist and/or cashier in a corporate environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage phone calls and front desk duties.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic work setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with front desk systems and cash register operations is desirable.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
