As a Cashier, you will be the face of our company, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process for our customers. This includes managing financial transactions, handling cash, operating the cash register, and maintaining accurate records. Your interactions with customers will also involve addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product information. You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a courteous demeanor. Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers, scanners, and credit card machines with accuracy and efficiency.
• Process cash, credit, and check transactions at the checkout counter.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries with professionalism.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving transaction-related issues.
• Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area for an inviting environment.
• Balance the cash register at the end of each shift to ensure accurate accounting.
• Handle return transactions and refunds according to company policy.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct.
• Ensure each financial transaction is processed accurately and swiftly.
• Offer add-on sales and promote ongoing promotions to customers.
• Package customer purchases to ensure they arrive home safely and intact.
• Monitor and restock shelves when necessary to maintain adequate inventory levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for all applicants.
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role preferred.
• Basic understanding of principles involving cash handling and financial transactions.
• Strong numerical skills and the ability to perform mental arithmetic swiftly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for client interactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical demands including lifting.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
