Responsibilities

• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions with efficiency.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly customer service experience at all times.
• Ensure counter cleanliness and maintain an organized workspace daily.
• Assist customers with queries and provide appropriate solutions or information.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues if necessary.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift accurately.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate and timely for checkout.
• Promote store loyalty cards and special promotions to increase sales.
• Collaborate with inventory team to monitor stock levels and order supplies.
• Process returns and exchanges according to store policy and procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and store policies to create a secure environment.
• Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems and resolve any technical issues expertly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required.
• Prior experience as a cashier or in a similar retail role preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills to handle transactions and balance cash drawer.
• Excellent communication skills for smooth and effective customer interactions.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and lift light merchandise.
• Familiarity with POS terminals and basic computer operations is advantageous.
