We are seeking an efficient and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team and provide exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing transactions, handling money, and ensuring an accurate register balance at the end of their shift. You'll be in a position pivotal to customer satisfaction as you'll be the last point of contact before they leave. This role requires an individual who is attentive, friendly, and enjoys working in a supportive team environment. You must be adept at processing high volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering an outstanding customer experience in line with our standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases efficiently.
• Process customer transactions using various payment methods with accuracy.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Ensure the cash register drawer is balanced daily at closing time.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Monitor cash transactions and report discrepancies to management immediately.
• Assist in stocking shelves or other tasks as required by the manager.
• Promote store loyalty programs or promotions to customers with ease.
• Verify customer identification for credit card and check transactions.
• Handle returns and refunds in compliance with store policies and procedures.
• Participate in periodic training sessions to enhance cashiering skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills to handle transaction computations accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to operate cash registers and related business equipment efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
