Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in payments.
• Maintain a neat and organized checkout area that reflects our brand standards.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness of the store when required.
• Stay informed about current promotions, rewards, and store policies to assist customers.
• Ensure that all registers have the correct amounts of cash at all times.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure amounts are correct.
• Verify the identity of customers who use credit cards to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Balance transactions, reconcile receipts, and submit all financial dealings at shift end.
• Participate in training programs and team meetings to enhance job knowledge.
• Promptly follow all safety and security procedures to ensure safe handling of cash.

Requirements

• Previous cash handling or related customer service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with using cash registers or similar equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform activities that include frequent bending and lifting.
• Strong communication skills and a personable, friendly demeanor.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and reliability.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
