As a Cashier, you will be the face of our customer service experience. With a well-trained eye for detail and exceptional multitasking skills, you will process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include managing cash registers, assisting customers with inquiries, and ensuring that their shopping experience is seamless from start to finish. You will also be tasked with maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential as you will interact regularly with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience. Your work is crucial in upholding our reputation for excellent service and ensuring the smooth operation of the store's daily functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers to process customer payments and ensure accuracy.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their queries promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance customer experience.
• Handle exchanges and returns efficiently while adhering to store policies.
• Ensure all transactions are followed with proper authentication procedures.
• Count cash in register drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Balance cash drawers to account for transactions at the end of each shift.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive atmosphere.
• Provide customers with receipts and proper change with every transaction.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory in the checkout area.
• Follow safety procedures and report issues to management when necessary.
• Promote ongoing sales, offers, and store loyalty programs to customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for consideration.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
• Basic math skills and ability to operate standard POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills for clear interaction with customers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
