As a Cashier, you will be the face of our retail operations, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. You will engage with customers, ensuring their shopping experience is pleasant and their needs are met promptly. In this role, accuracy is vital as you handle cash, checks, or credit card transactions, balancing the register at the end of your shift. Your ability to handle multiple customers quickly and politely will enhance their shopping experience and encourage repeat business. As part of a dynamic team, you will assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the checkout area, restocking supplies, and displaying products to attract customers. Responsibilities

• Accurately process sales transactions for all payment methods from customers efficiently.
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area throughout shifts.
• Count and reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assist customers with locating products and provide information on store promotions.
• Handle product exchanges, returns, or complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Help colleagues in other departments during downtime or peak shopping periods.
• Ensure sufficient stock of cashier-related supplies, including bags, tape, and gift receipts.
• Support loss prevention measures by monitoring suspicious transactions or behaviors.
• Operate cash register equipment and resolve any transactional errors efficiently.
• Provide customers with accurate receipts and information about their purchases.
• Uphold company policies and values while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for consideration.
• Proven experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
