The role of a Cashier at our company is dynamic and customer-focused. As a Cashier, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support at checkout. Your main task will be to handle a high volume of transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring customer satisfaction with every interaction. Besides processing customer purchases, you will be responsible for managing the cash register, maintaining transaction records, and handling customer inquiries effectively. This position requires you to be courteous, organized, and extremely detail-oriented, ensuring that all monetary exchanges are correct. Responsibilities

• Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transaction processing at the register.
• Greet all customers with friendliness and warmth as they approach the checkout.
• Manage and resolve customer queries and issues promptly at the checkout area.
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the cashier area throughout the shift.
• Ensure all purchases and returns are handled in accordance with store policies.
• Monitor cash drawers frequently to prevent overages or shortages in the register.
• Assist in the stocking and restocking of bags and register supplies as needed.
• Close out the register effectively at end of the shift with accurate account balance.
• Actively participate in promotions and upselling to drive overall store sales.
• Comply with anti-theft measures and report suspicious activities to management.
• Provide customers with accurate information regarding product availability and location.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle transactions is essential.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks continuously.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented attitude always.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer operations is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent education level required for the position.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
